I arrived at about 7pm by taxi, but the taxi driver didn't find the entrance so I had to carry my luggage the last 50m on my own. Anyway, check in was fine, but there was no guidance to the room. As a member of Grand Luxury Hotels I was told that I got an upgrade. I don't know what size standard rooms at Augustine Hotel have, I got a quite small rooftop room and a bathroom with a bathtub, only (no separate shower stall). Nevertheless the room was comfortable for one person. Dinner at the restaurant was fine (although price level was a bit higher than the level of the menu and service) and afterwards my colleague and I went to the bar. The bar is quite impressive, the cocktails were good, but service a bit below the line. 20 minutes before midnight we were told that we have to leave the bar as it was closing. As I entered my room, turn down was done. The next morning I had breakfast. It was a small but good breakfast buffet, my Eggs Benedict was indeed very good. Same to check out: nothing bad, nothing special. My stay was in total OK but there wasn't anything above the minimum standard a luxury hotel should provide. For a business trip OK and still an average experience, for a private trip I probably would try another hotel. Continue giving guest the great service that you provide.
