The rooms and the breakfast! The entire place was so clean, cozy and comfortable, makes you look forward to going back to it after a day in the temples and busy Bangkok streets. So tastefully decorated and well-appointed, we felt like VIPs in an expensive vacation house. I love the Jim Thompson linen and the Thai details in their decorations. I love that it retained it's structure as a Colonial teak wood house. The hostel employees were so hospitable, and the owner herself served our breakfast. The breakfast was served hot, and they don't scrimp on presentation and taste, you'd want seconds. Location was great too, You can walk to a nearby market and the city hall, or hail a taxi or a bus. We even walked to Khaosan where most of the bars are (maybe 10-15 minute walk). I'm hard-pressed to think of one. Our experience exceeded our expectations. For me, Baan Dinso has perfected hotel service. It has raised the bar against which I'll be measuring other hotels. I often go for value for money, and Baan Dinso made me feel like royalty for three days at pocket-friendly rates.
